FARMERS MARKET SALES POSITIONS*
Represent Kale Love at Seattle farmers markets. This is a part time position for individuals that can commit to one or two farmers markets per week during our busy season June-September (some extending to October.) Lifting 40 lbs is required. Food workers card & vehicle required. Here is a typical day: arrive to kitchen in SODO for pickup, check off that all equipment is present and handwashing station is ready. Load up your vehicle and head to the market. Arrive with ample time to set up. Check in with market managers. Park in designated load-in location. Unload equipment & then park vehicle in vendor parking. Set up (raise tent, tables, display banner, lay out product, samples…) Count inventory, count bank, log in to square reader. Market opens and you are ready to go! Use your personality to respectfully, enthusiastically & accurately describe our product, offer samples and sell lots of kale. Kale Yeah! Record sales as you go and have fun! At the end of the day swiftly put away all equipment & break down. Pay market fees with manager. Bring in vehicle and load it up leaving nothing behind. Return to the kitchen in SODO and drop everything off in designated areas or with Kale Love team. Great Job!

This job consists of prepping, processing, seasoning and packaging our superb kale chip products in our facility in SODO Seattle, WA. Ability to lift 40 lbs and have a current food workers card is required. A typical day includes receiving kale & ingredients deliveries. Maintaining cleanliness & food safety guidelines, sanitizing all surfaces, setting up for tasks of washing, seasoning and storing kale in cooler. The making involves massaging and seasoning the kale in batches and loading into our dehydrators. Packaging involves weighing product into our containers and applying labels. Accuracy and efficiency are your best kitchen skills! The farmers market season is ramping up fast and our production is tripling. Your experience in kitchen task management will be a huge asset in this growth phase. The right applicants will be motivated and organized to help us meet our production needs each week with the option to grow the position as the company grows.
